Al Sharpton: “Imus says he wants to be forgiven. I hope he continues in that process. But we cannot afford a precedent established that the airways can commercialize and mainstream sexism and racism.” The last sentence describes much of rap music perfectly.

That should be among the things he should address because the self-hatred and misogyny that rap music represents is not what truly represents people of color. It only fuels racists arguments about the n-word and the h-word that if it is okay african americans to use then why can’t they use it.

You could be on to something there–she sure does spout a whole lot of nothing non-stop. But then again, that is the equivalent of what she knows. She is a host of that show for her loud mouth and ONLY her loud mouth.
