Natural rights are all that matter

Got news for ya, ass worship is not “natural”. Never has, and never will be.

It doesn’t matter how badly you want it.

The court has no authority to strike down any Constitutional Amedment as such an amendment overides all existing law including the existing constitution and all court precident. Either the Constitution is the highest law of the land or the court is and that is not how the law works. The court could determine if the process that was used to enact the change was IAW existing law BUT the legality of the law itself...nope. The change trumps the court.

Maybe I’m just naive. But isn’t a constitutional amendment simply an edict that the State Supreme Court must follow? Isn’t it now their job to apply the amendment to specific cases that come to the court, and adjudicate how the amendment applies to the case in question?

Is it possible for a constitutional amendment to be unconstitutional?

Do we live in the frikkin Twilight Zone?

Yup. and unbounded judicial power...They are not Our Robed Masters for nothing. Even T.A.O. is a minor god compared to a Judge, just ask them.

You are a joke!

Go throw more burning bibles at the Mormons.

So… do rights come from:

A.  The Majority

B.  The State

C.  Documents that are really old

D.  Nature

Just wondering where your ilk stands on this rather fundamental issue.

Rights come from God.  Believe it.  Don’t believe it.

You are endowed by your Creator with certain inalienable rights.  They pre-exist the government.  They exist by right of being human.

Pick your reason.

Aren’t you representative of the same sonsabtches that are still attempting to rub our noses in “slavery”; an institution conducted by ancestors upon ancestors in the whole of the Old World, except, of course, for modern Arabia, which continues the practice?

In any case, rights are not “given” by any man-made government.  “What government giveth, so it my take away”.  Not an American precept, principle, or ideal.

You got a problem with that?

Take it up with my Constitution, my FN, or my carbine.

Bring. It.

BRING. IT.

Pandora, it’s clear Saffire hasn’t had many educational opportunities.

I’m certain Saffire is unable to define “Natural Right” or “Social Norm” without blaming President Bush for destroying the Chinese Milk Vetch Spore or [add your own non sequitur here].

EDIT: OR denying the existence of God.

I’m not a leftist, I’m an anarcho-capitalist.

So if rights are given to us by God (which is a precept I agree with, by the way), which God do they come from?  The Christian God or the God of Nature?

Hell Safire! You cannot even determine the correct orifice for sexual relations between human beings. One is for expelling waste the other is for absorbing the elements necessary for procreation.
You are not intelligent but a dimwitted sexual retard. If you cannot help that you are in the condition you are, so are the mentally retarded of our society. Better luck next time in comparing yourself to Roy intellectually.
