You will find areas of 10-12% default rates are primarily in Southern California and Florida, where heavy concentration of illegal are present or high rates(5-6%) in most urban areas. Added evidence...If those 5M mortgages, were based on an average 150k Home Value (modest for the Inland Empire, outside LA and Florida) you come up with the figure 750 Billion…

Until 1921, entering the this Country was perfectly legal for most any ethnic group, whites the by far the most common. It required only in registering at a LOCAL legal facility (Court House) taking an Oath and by the head of family. Quota’s set up 1921 have been based on 3% 1921-1924 and 2% 1924 to today of what ethnic/nationality that was estimated in the the country each year, also primarily white. Actually it was much later (think 1950’s-60’s) that Latinos (Spanish Speaking) were classified and were then either white/black.
