The biggest problem with Obama’s willingness to negotiate directly with Iran is that he and his party have undermined our ability to do so from a position of strength.

Bush had it exactly right..."as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along.” That IS the Obama strategy, and that was the most “offensive” thing Bush said (because it’s so true).

Come to think of it, that’s Obama’s strategy for everything including “bringing the country together”.  If only I can just talk to them, I can change the world.

Regardless of the intended target (Chamberain, Carter, Obama), I’m having trouble understanding Sen. Obama’s objection.  We know that he’s willing to speak with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and our other enemies.  Is it that he doesn’t think Ahmadinejad is a terrorist?

I really don’t get it, and I’d like to comprehend it.  At this point all I’m getting is “I’m shocked you’d say I’m willing to speak with terrorists like the Iranians!”

Honestly, I was shocked when Sen. Obama said it himself.  That President Bush would say so isn’t particularly a surprise to me.

Playing the Hitler card.

Iran is a country.

Speaking of countries, Bush is talking to the Saudi’s today.

Remember Saudi Arabia? The country where the 9/11 hijackers came from?

Saudi Arabia that does not recognize the state of Israel.

You talk to leaders of a country maps don’t talk much.

Very good April Saudi Arabia Is a country. Are you accusing that country of carrying out the 9/11 attacks??  Or are we changing the subject??

The country that sponsored the terrorist attacks. Bush is appeasing the Terrorists in Saudi Arabia.

Are you really that think in the head.

Yes April I “THINK IN THE HEAD” Is AQ based in Saudi Arabia in your world. Can you show me some proof that the SAUDIS sponsored the attack?

Yeah inspiriation and truth equal weakness. NOT

In response to McCain’s allegations that Obama is soft on our enemies.

What’s reckless is continuing the Bush-McCain foreign policy that has cost us thousands of lives and a trillion dollars in Iraq, strengthened Iran, enabled Hamas to take Gaza, took our eye off al Qaeda, failed to capture Osama bin Laden, failed to finish the job in Afghanistan, and left us less safe and less respected in the world. No amount of utterly predictable fear-mongering and tough talk can change the fact that John McCain is running to continue the most disastrous foreign policy in recent American history.

Now that Obama is free of offending the hypersensitive women supporters backing Clinton, I look forward to a rigorous debate, about exactly what is and is not appeasement. Appeasement means giving something away to the enemy. Appeasement is not equivalent to talk.

No amount of utterly predictable fear-montering can change the facts on the ground. Iran has gotten stronger, while America’s military has gotten weaker from this long unproductive and protacted occupation of Iraq, that has actually increased the power of our enemies. And the higher price of gas is making our enemies richer, while the American economy is being strained.

This is great!

Bush essentially said, “There are idiots out there who think that if you kiss terrorists’ rumps, they won’t hurt you.”

And up pops Obama, screeching, “He’s talking about me!”

Obama has now loudly and passionately self-identified as an idiot who wants to kiss terrorist rump.

Brilliant move, Mr. President.

Tom, you get the blue ribbon for cutting through the prattle and getting to the nitty-gritty!

I’d say ‘nit’ is more like it.

Of all the arguments this is the most stupid.

Of course he was targeting Obama.

Instead of moving forward.......... some of you choose to dwell in the past. Continuing to focus on misery of the past, instead of the glory and good things that are Israel.

It almost makes the argument that the African American community deserves reparations for being enslaved labor. Like Bush and those on Powerline you stay stuck in past grievances clinging to them bitterly, refusing to move forward and remaining the perpetual victims.

They should have gone into politics like Obama. The “pay for guilt” is better.

Of course he was targeting Obama.

Of course, he wasn’t “targeting Obama,” at least not anymore than any other surrender monkey Democrat, all of whom (including Hussein Obama) seem intent on kissing up to our killers/enemies.

The “African American” community has already gotten reparations for at least 40 years in the form of welfare, food stamps, unemployment bennies and affirmative action quotas.
Enough is enough.

Like Bush and those on Powerline you stay stuck in past grievances clinging to them bitterly, refusing to move forward and remaining the perpetual victims.

‘Scuse me, but by raising the ephemeral spectres of slavery and reparations, it’s you latte Liberals and “victimized” black people like Rev. Wright and Obama that prove that you are the ones “stuck in past grievances clinging to them bitterly, refusing to move forward and remaining the perpetual victims.”

Nov. 4, 2008: The Day The Music Died.

“Bye-bye, miss American pie.”

Oh, and as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage.
No angel born in Hell
Could break that Satan’s spell.
And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite,
I saw Satan laughing with delight
The day the music died.

I am just making a comparison. Who has suffered more, seems to be the mantra.

The Jews claim that mantle, by remianing the perpetual victims of (________) whatever reason is currently convenient.

Instead of moving forward, they hold on to their status as the great martyrs with an assist for Bush as he plays the Hitler card.

My question is when will the Jews move the dialogue forward instead of always looking to the past.

This foolish occupation of Iraq has only made Iran stronger and weakened the US military, as they ask tired soldiers to serve three, four and five tours of duty. I don’t see any way that the US foreign policy as it stands now has made Israel safer, because realistically it hasn’t.

Go buy two lottery tickets. Your chance of winning the lottery are about the same as the chances that you are going to win back the White House.

Especially with school yard bully tactics like this.

Get a clue! People are sick to death of mockery put forth as argument.

They are sick to death of bullying as policy.

But carry one with your usual vapid tired arguments.

obama says he is a supporter of Israel.  That “support” will last until the results of the 2008 election are known.  Should we be disgraced with his occupation of the White House, “official” US support for Israel will diminish if not evaporate.  After all, how can “osama” obama negotiate with terrorist “leaders” without preconditions if the US still supports Israel?

If you want to run with stereotypes, this is ridiculous jew paranoia.

Of course Obama supports Israel. Why? Because he wants peace in the region.

The people that appear dead set against resolving conflict in the Middle East are people like you spouting stupid platitudes.

Your claims are pathetically ridiculous, but those of a typical martyr. Oy! We have suffered so much. We will never let the world forget that all of our enemies are like Hitler.

The visionary jew sees perpetual doom and gloom, in every possibility for peace. Why? Do you own stock in the weapons industry?
