The oil companies’ profit on a gallon of gas is .09. The combined taxes on that same gallon is around .50.

Think of it like this Pan. That is .09 per GALLON. Each and every gallon. How many gallons of gas does your tank hold? How many gallons of gas does Seattle use on a Monday morning?
If you had the measly .09 cent profit on every gallon of gas burned in the US in one day.......... well that’s a lot of money.
I recently heard that gasoline dollars are way way the total MAJORITY of ALL tax dollars in America. Huge, anybody else here hear about it? 70-80 something %????? Maybe??? HUGE!

.09 on the GALLON - Now between $3-$5 per gallon to the consumer, while the GOVERNMENT takes $.50-$1 per gallon and is threatening to take more, even double that amount TO PUNISH THE GAS COMPANIES - who have no choice but to pass that expense on to THE CONSUMER - WHO IS PUNISHING WHOM??? - and YOU think THIS IS BEAUTIFUL to punish the gas companies for getting SO RICH off this gasoline - but you fail to think - and I say this knowing some large oil company hard assets ARE ON THE MARKET - instead of BUILDING MORE - how much more will they take before they decide the govt apes on their backs are simply not worth it?
At what point WOULD YOU YOURSELF DECIDE that NOT being in a small or large PRIVATE BUSINESS under Govt regulations such as THESE is simply not worth the hassle.
