Obama would have left if Wright stayed

WASHINGTON - White House hopeful Barack Obama suggests he would have left his Chicago church had his longtime pastor, whose fiery anti-American comments about U.S. foreign policy and race relations threatened Obama’s campaign, not stepped down.

“Had the reverend not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying at the church,” Obama said Thursday during a taping of the ABC talk show, “The View.” The interview will be broadcast Friday. I’ll bet Raptavio will claim to believe Obama, and have all kinds of reasons why he’s being sincere, and we’re all “overreaching”.

This is too rich. Keep diggin’ B. Hussein. Keep diggin’.

“A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self-preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation.

To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means.”

Joe Biden was right about him"he’s sharp” He doesn’t need a church to fall on him before he opens his eyes.

Now that the Good Racist Rev. is gone he threatens to leave. That went right over my head. I can’t wait for the news flash on MSNBC.

Yeah, exactly what I said after his awesomely spectacular speech: he didn’t distance himself sufficiently from Wright to keep from having to do it again when more dirt surfaces.

His denial this time don’t begin to make any sense because Wright’s offensive statements which Obama is supposedly distancing himself from and Wright’s impending retirement were years apart.

Wright is still listed on the church website as Pastor. Gone but not forgotten, I guess.

Fox News says Wright is on Sabbatical ane “entering retirement”.

http://tinyurl.com/3x4f36

Which is it?  How do you enter retirement without actually retiring?

More correctly, the reverend is “lying low” until this blows over and Obama is elected.

Obami is proving himself to be just another typical lying POS Dem.

Special Report tonight showed the new 1.6 million dollar, 10,000 Sq foot home on a $340,000.00 lot that the church is building Reverend Rage to retire in. Turns out the Raging Rev is just another one of your typical, run of the mill, hypocritical leftist’s.

Obama, can you try that with fewer “had"s and more “is"s (ask Bill Clinton what it means)?

Anyway, I smell a weasel. “I wouldn’t have felt comfortable staying” isn’t the same as “I would have jumped up, grabbed my kids, and gotten the hell out.”

Senator Clinton, if you had known then what you know now, would you still have married Bill?

That would be plain-speak, Miss Orange. You know Barack does not indulge in that. He has to employ his Ivy-league razzle-dazzle to keep his audience enthralled.
