thanks for the original post.  i sent it on to my niece whose husband is currently a marine and has served one tour in iraq and to a dear friend who is a viet nam vet and career army man now retired to both of whom i am eternally grateful for their sacrifice.

Please pass on to your niece that an old retired Marine Corps Gunny is keeping her husband in his prayers, please tell her I said “Semper Fi” and thank her for the job her husband is doing to keep us all safe.

No, thank you! It is folks like your nieces husband, and vets like your friend who bring a tear to my eye.

These men and women who have served and who serve our country today do so for miserable pay and (in many cases) terrible conditions, and what do they ask for in return? Not a GD thing accept a little support and a little respect.

The left should spend 5 minutes every night on their knees thanking God that America still produces such people, and that these people have family such as yourself to love and support them.
