Geez. Ok, let me spell it out for ya.

You said: “The president has made sure that perjury and obstruction of justice carries no penalty whatsoever as long as you are part of his team.”

I replied, “the Senate democrats gave us the master plan back in 2000.”

In 2000, Senate democrats gave President Clinton a pass on two counts, perjury and obstruction of justice.

This is not complicated, barney.  Honest.

I guess I was thrown off by your lack of facts.

Clinton was acquitted in 1999 by a republican controlled senate who couldn’t get even a majority for any charge.

Exactly. That’s why I said “the Senate democrats gave us the master plan.”

Simple. Glad you got it finally.

If you want to be the most popular person in your class, whenever the professor pauses in his lecture, just let out a big snort and say “How do you figger that!” real loud. Then lean back and sort of smirk.

Yes, once I corrected your factual errors (again), it was clearer. You believe that those convicted of a crime should get no more punishment than those cleared of a crime. It’s the wingnut credo, I believe.

There’re probably some reading comprehension courses available in your area.

I didn’t say “what I believe.” I only said “the Senate democrats gave us the master plan” for getting away with perjury and obstruction of justice.

Glad you get it now.  You’re welcome!

Ah, yes, it’s not the brightest thing to be condescending when you got the basic facts wrong (like your ‘plea bargain’ laugher). Just a friendly pointer.

That’s it?  That’s your reply? “It’s not the brightest thing to be condescending?”

Do you write for Bill Maher? I KNEW it.

Odette:  If you want barney to understand, you have to write in purple.

And get the facts correct, and use reasonably clear English. All things that Odette has failed to do.

Sorry, barney.  Got some hot dogs to burn and some bad jokes to tell.

Plus, we always read the Declaration aloud.  Pass it around, everyone reads a sentence.  Then we clap and toast the nation.  You wouldn’t understand.

Deal with you later, bubby.

Judge in Libby Case Asks: “‘What do I do now?”

All that moron of a judge has to do is ask the Federal Bureau of Prisons.  They calculate many sentences many times every day.

I can’t believe that WE actually pay his salary.

Nov. 4, 2008: The Day The Music Died.

“Bye-bye, miss American pie.”

Oh, and as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage.
No angel born in Hell
Could break that Satan’s spell.
And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite,
I saw Satan laughing with delight
The day the music died.

Odette, do you ever get tired of debating a robot?  I swear, no matter where, no matter when, any thread with the word “Libby” in it, there’s the Purple One.

Almost like he’s running a macro or something, that deposits one of 3 stock responses, over and over and over…

You have to hand it to him for his simple child-like devotion (obsession).

Space reserved for (insert tard here) to state that Obama did not say (insert exact quote here), and for you to say that Obama said (insert exact Obama quote here) is wing-nut demagoguery.

MNHawk

Thanks.  I’m starting to realize that now.

By the way, there’s an update on the Libby situation. Tony Snow was asked about the probation issue today.

“He tried to clear up confusion about Libby’s probation. While commuting Libby’s sentence in terms of prison time, Bush left in place his two years of supervised release. But supervised release — a form of probation — is only available to people who have served prison time. Without prison, it’s unclear what happens next”

“Snow said the White House view was this: “You treat it as if he has already served the 30 months, and probation kicks in. Obviously, the sentencing judge will figure out precisely how that works.”

Hey, Mr. Context! Did you read what I said and what prompted it?

Nevermind. Obviously you didn’t.
