Murtha stinks.

These Marines should never have been charged. It’s good to see some “justice” in the justice system.

These marines are currently facing an Article 32 hearing, similar to a grand jury proceeding, to see if there is enough evidence to try them.  General Mattis signed off on these hearings, so if there is blame to place it should be on him.

That being said, the young Lance Corporal was quoted last week as saying something to the effect of “I did not murder anyone, I followed the ROEs and shot those 4 insurgents when they aimed their weapons at me”......he went on to say “I’d rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6”.......something my young marine has said many times.

I wonder how many folks know that this marine infantry company is the famous 3/1 Kilo company, who gained nearly mythical status in Fallujah in Nov. 04.  These are the marines Sgt. Mjr. Kasal was with when he was injured in Fallujah.  These are the young marines who decided in Nov. 04 that if they had to enter a house with insurgents inside they were going to “first throw in something that explodes”.

The senior marine in these hearings is Ssgt Wuterich, who was injured in Fallujah in 04.

These marines have also performed hundreds of assisting Iraqi civilians, both in Fallujah and Haditha.  These marines are combat tested and true, they know how to kill insurgents and how to help civilians, and they know how to enter a house when being fired on from that house.

My son is a Marine who was in Haditha at the same time.  3/1 Lima operating on the other side of the river.  It was Nov. 2005.  The circumstances of the situation were the norm.  Insurgents would stage incidents using civilians as shields.  Kids would be paid to collect all the spent shells. Citizens were intimidated and threatened with death if they didn’t act out the scenario.  They’d hide in locals’ homes and use them as shields until the threat of Marine activity had subsided.  My son saw the vehicles from the incident, and they were riddled with fresh bullet holes.

Some civilian life was lost when they were shields in a house filled with insurgents trying to hide and were found.  This happened often enough that the locals finally started to side with the Marines and the insurgents were captured, their weapons and ammo located, or the insurgents finally saw the light and got their asses out of the area.  After that, the kids would follow the Marines down the streets like they were pied pipers.  Haditha has been a safe area for the citizens since late 2005.  The 3/1 arrived in Haditha in early Sept. 2005 and left in April 2006 and are now in Iraq in an undisclosed location.

Even rats in the gutter will leave Murtha alone, he’s a poison on society.

I’ve been asked to appear on Dirk Thompson’s radio program Saturday afternoon. We’ll be discussing my posts about Murtha & the Haditha recommendations.

Thursday morning, I’m calling Ms. Pelosi’s office to see if she’ll comment on the ethical problems awaiting Rep. Murtha. I suspect that I’ll get the same response as I got from Murtha’s spokeswoman.

The other thing I’ll be doing on Dirk’s show is asking for Murtha’s resignation. Whether he resigns or not, he must be driven from office. I don’t kid myself about him resigning but I’d be fairly happy using his ethical problems against him & the Democrats during the campaign.

Murtha called my son a murderer and he has refused to apologize.  And now, they refuse to take my calls.  What a gutter slime-bag!  He deserves to be disabled in his district, but they didn’t have the courage this past election, so I don’t think they have the guts in a less confrontational election unless you can find a really tough bastard to call him a gutter rat at every chance, and the last candidate was unwilling and Murtha had just delivered too many earmarks to the district.  He needs to have his tongue removed and fingers chopped-off!

Then someone needs to file a federal inquiry to expose his brother’s lobbying firm’s records to see how much passed through.

With all due respect, I helped the Irey campaign last fall. She didn’t have the warchest to battle him properly. I’ve interviewed her a couple of times & she’s more than tough. She just wasn’t funded properly.

I’m truly sorry that Murtha won’t return your calls or apologize. He’s a truly evil man. (I don’t use that term lightly, either.) I know that you want him out of office so I’m asking you to help me put the pressure on him to resign.

Feel free to email me at . Let’s figure out an action plan, ok?

Take care & God bless. Thank you for your son’s service, too.

Thanks… my son was posted on the Irey site a number of times… she needed a lot of funds to attack him as too many in the district owed something to Murtha.  She had class and a good support group, just not the money.  Early on, when I got through to Murtha’s office I talked to an older staffer.  I asked her how she would feel if Murtha had called her son a murderer.  She said she would be upset like I was.  I then asked why she worked for him given what he was doing.  She needed the job… then she hung-up.

And that’s the scumbag he is!

This decision is LONG overdue.

The military needs to speed up this silly process if they’re going to regain any credibility.

“Incredulous” indeed.

Overdue! Too bad the guys spent so much time in the hold. We need to do better for our guys or we won’t have any to fight. Of course, this is what the left wants - no more military as if the world will be a safer place.

I hope Diana Irey can run again. We, in MN, supported her as much as we could Murtha is a true loser, big time!!! Most of his Marine years were in the reserves. He may have had a decoration in Vietnam but his actions since belong in the gutter. What a horrible piece of garbage. It would be nice if he’d get his come-uppance in the next election. For sure Pelosi and company will do nothing to him.

I wholeheartedly agree that we must do better for our guys. Here’s how we can make that happen:

1. We can call Murtha’s office asking for a statement on this.

2. We must call Ms. Pelosi’s office asking for a statement. I’ve called her 2 straight days & gotten the runaround, which I’ll be posting at LFR.

3. We can start a draft Irey website & collect signatures on a petition. If you sign the petition, be prepared to contribute to her campaign if she runs. Diana ran a campaign that was cash-starved from the beginning. Having watched what she did on limited resources, I say with great confidence that she’d beat Murtha if she’s properly funded this time.

4. Everyone who has a blog should be writing about Haditha on a frequent basis. We should be talking about the dirty tricks that Murtha’s pulled. We should write about the trials whenever we have the time. The more we expose Murtha’s shameful activities, the better the chances we have of getting this into the Agenda Media. If Powerline & Hugh & high profile blogs could highlight the good writing being done, that’d go a long ways towards getting a buzz going in Washington.

We saw what motivated internet activists can do when we helped collapse the immigration bill. Let’s apply that to this scandal, too.
