This is a forum not a blog. Go over to Huffington Post and start trolling around over there. Insulting Democrats is easy and fun, for a little while at least.
We conservatives need our noses rubbed in it (cough cough...Mark Foley) sometimes.
Most boards and blogs are dominated by the left, who seem to be more willing than conservatives and centrists to engage in debates and flaming. Every board has a few nuts.
This board is refreshing for me because it offers a pretty good balance of conservatives, liberals, centrists and nut cases. The latter offer chances to
Why would anyone one want to talk only with people with whom they agree? I’m on a few boards whose active posters are mostly liberals. They are so bored and boring. They appreciate the fact that I challenge them to think outside their little boxes.
Because I don’t always like to talk with people who think the same way I do. I know it must be a drag being forced to read opinions that are at angles to your own, but perhaps you would be happier reading a different forum.
We have some who are intellectually honest who actually enjoy debating their viewpoints and then others who are here for the purpose of railroading, distorting and inflaming passions because that’s what their organizers instruct them to do. The Left resorts to subversive tactics at every opportunity and trolling a popular conversative blog forum is up there with hacking, spamming and google bombing conservative internet content.
Betcha the left’s forums 1) are not subjected to conservative trolls in any significant number and 2) do not tolerate conservative dissent on their forums.
The notion that Conservatives agree on every important issue is ridiculous. If suddenly all the Liberal trolls deserted this forum, it would not turn into an echo chamber. The trolls repeatedly make the same points; they create the echoes. Who among the Lefties and self-styled Centrists here, other than Dwight, can make a rational argument? April? May? June?
Oh that’s right. It isn’t like there are forum or two that don’t deal with what is on the “political” blog. I put political in quotes since it mostly deals with that, but they’ve had other topics on the blog as well.
What came first: the forum or the blog? The blog in case you are new to here.
Why was the forum created? To discuss issues put out on the blog and other topics if people wanted to comment on them.
To answer some of the left wing critics of those conservative people including me that never served in the military for the Vietnam War:
1. I waited for my draft lottery number to be drawn.
2. I never had a student deferrment.
3. Unlike Bill Clinton I knew my draft lottery number back then.
4. I was for the Vietnam War but believe that the military wasn’t being allowed to win the war, just like in the Korean War. Why fight in a war when the military was told not to win it (limits on going into territory where the enemy seeks sanctuary)?
that the administration’s recent purge of U.S. attorneys is a “non-story.”
It is a non story since it was a lawful thing to do. To say otherwise is plainly wrong. Get over it. Clinton fired all but one U. S. attorney so it is a non issue. So talk about getting a story right, he fails in his column as well.
