LOVE the Outlaws! “Ghost Riders” gets me all a tingly.
I was never a huge Zappa fan. I liked Apostrophe and the Live at the Fillmore East. I happen to be in San Francisco when it came out and a friend played it. I bought a copy to take home to Scottsdale because it would be years before the stores there would sell it. It was sooooo funny, and raunchy, before long, that was you heard on the mall at lunch time at my high school. Just for the shock effect of course. It worked.
This album is form a local hard rock group in our area called Cain. They were popular in the mid 70’s. The album was entitled a pound of flesh I believe it came out in 1975 and it was recently re-released.
BTW, speaking of the Who my favorite album by them is Live at Leeds. Pete Townsend plays the quitar as well as I have ever heard him on this album.
One o’ my faves, though I haven’t listed to Diamond Dogs in years & years. In college, my dad, who was a wonderful hobbyist painter, painted a version of this @ my request, though he thought it was the silliest thing he ever saw, and it hung in my fraternity house bedroom for 4 years.
I painted one entire wall of the room after Pink Floyd’sDark Side of the Moon and it was one of the main attractions in the house. Ah the carefree days of late nights @ the campus library & non-stop beer fests.
Not only did I like some of the music from Yes. I remember too, some of Yes’s albums form an art class I once had as many students would try to draw their album covers.
I think we need him to lead the Republican Party. He’ll keep ‘em all in line. He’ll take those nit-wits out into the wilderness and make them hunt for their dinner.
He’s awesome live—though he irritates me with his language.
I’s not easy being a prude.
Some low-class jerk lawyer cracked some really vulgar gynecologist joke at a deposition once of an OB/GYN in a med-mal case. I was the only woman in the room and all the men were laughing and I just wanted the earth to open up and swallow me.
In the old days, the practice of law was an honorable profession of professionals of unblemished character.
But, today is different.
I had this PI lawyer asking questions with the worst grammar. I was embarrassed for him. Oh, well, I’ll clean him up. No lawyer looks bad in my transcript.

Electra,
You should learn how to throw a good punch. Many years ago I made the mistake of teaching my wife how to box and taught her how to throw a punch. My arm now is going numb from opening too many times my big mouth before thinking. My arm has taken severe abuse over the years.
This was the first album put out by Montrose without Sammy Hagar.
This album from my favorite band of all time was a departure form the power blues of the first two albums. Immigrant song is one of my favorite songs when done live as Zep did as a opening song in their early 1970’s concert tours. The song then morphed into a wonderful long version of heartbreaker. The guitar work by Page was stunning.

Nugent’s a conservative (and, I believe, a Christian). I have heard him on Talk Radio as a fill in DJ (or maybe he called into the show, can’t remember) - I don’t know when last you heard him...& of course he didn’t swear on the radio…
