Albums that almost everybody had back in High School

A little after my high school years, but … Robin Trower’s “Victims of the Fury” is one of the best hard rockin’ tunes ever.  In some ways, it seems to put that dot under the exclamation point in the history of the all-but-dead hard rock category.

Well, he still is the guy from the neighborhood who made good.

Oh heavens NO!  LOL

I do remember that Pat Boone mess.  I heard the cover tune once.  The DJs justifiably ridiculed him mercilessly.

Some of my posts come from my own collection and some are from the Internet, but most are from a very large “coffee table book” on album art.

And yes, you too could like that - either therough hard work, or a good plastic surgeon.

His hair is priceless though.

The thing is, most all album/CD art is good.

So what people end up recommending isn’t the album cover, which was the thread’s purpose, but their favorite songs, or those covers they consider funny instead of good, etc.

I tried to just suggest album art, even if I’d never heard the album. But it’s like shooting pelicans in a barrel. You can’t miss.

Maybe there could be a thread for - lousy album art. That would be the exception, not the rule.

The thing is, most all album/CD art is good.

I could waste my time and post hundreds of shítty album covers, but why would anyone do that?

You mean a silly picture, or offensive content?

The image can be lousy. But the presentation probably will be fine. I looked at hundreds of album covers. And most all I saw were pretty good, I don’t care if it’s 60s art, 40s art, Paris or Hollywood, or recent, or indies over at cdbaby. A lot of the images I didn’t like. Some trying to be funny - I didn’t think they were funny. But I didn’t see any problem with the art, itself.

To find a good album cover is about like trying to see if one can find fleas in a garden center. It’s not difficult.

Again, I think what people post isn’t about album art - it’s the cover of the album with the songs they like. They aren’t voting for the art. They’re voting for the music, or the comedy, or whatever it is.
