For over 2 decades, making a living as a performer / recording artist in the heavy metal music industry kept me thoroughly steeped in liberalism, secular-humanism, and counter-culture. The demands and realities of raising a family and an awakening awareness of a higher power began to blow some wind on my liberal house of cards. A friend introduced me to Jason Lewis & Rush Limbaugh on the radio, and the card house came tumbling down. Then came Jesus Christ, and he set those cards ablaze once and for all! My values and faith were transformed over time, and I now believe that the further America gets from her traditional values, the less likely she is to resemble anything remotely like the great country our grandfathers and fathers bequeathed to us. I believe Leftism makes us worse, and those who adhere to it wish to see America become essentially un-American. The cultural goal of Leftism is to continually knock down moral and societal barriers until not a single one is left standing. The political goal is to then take that broken society, finally bereft of its traditional moral center and foundation, and enthrall it to a behemoth state, once and for all. I firmly believe that if our current and steady drift toward Leftism continues, America will completely cease to exist as we have known it; unless the case for conservatism and the Constitution can be made to the people in time. I read powerline, michellemalkin, hughhewitt & drugereport every day that I can. I listen to Rush, Sean, Dennis, Hugh, Laura Ingraham, Mike Gallagher, Bill Bennett or Jason Lewis whenever I am in the car. Now my energies are focused on my family, my God, my country and its culture war, and my work in audio production/post-production. I am deeply concerned about the country and world we are leaving to our children. I have become a bit of a political junkie. I am involved in the political process as much as I have time for. I correspond with my representatives in congress, and help out at the grass-roots level during election seasons. I financially support worthy political candidates, as well as organizations like the NRA and Jay Sekulow’s American Center for Law & Justice within my ability to do so. My living hero is Dennis Prager. I believe him to be the wisest living man I know of. I have learned more about morality, clarity, and conservatism from him than from any other mentor. I also greatly admire the insight and intellect of Hugh Hewitt. |
